Volunteering is a great way for you to partner with The Salvation Army of Waukesha. Not a single one of our programs or services is possible without the daily work accomplished by our Volunteer Corps. Thank you!

     MEET JOSH --  He's a Waukesha CNC machinist who works hard six days/week, AND then, who volunteers to help serve our free Community Meals in the early evening. 

     "It's enough just to see people smile-- to see people acknowledged as a human being. I've discovered that I love volunteering at the Waukesha Salvation Army." 

     Josh, it's our great pleasure to have you here with us, and we appreciate ALL you do for the people we serve!

Examples of needed volunteer service:

> Food Pantry: Sort and shelve products in the food pantry

> Community Meal: Chop vegetables in the kitchen for our meal program

> Bell Ringing: Take a shift or two, or three ringing a Red Kettle bell at Christmas

> Bell Ringing: Drive our van to deliver our ringers to their daily locations and pick-up full kettles

> Food Pantry: Pack bags of groceries for the needy to take home

> Community Meal: Help serve nutritious, hot meals on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday evenings

> Communications Office: Clip newspapers and learn how to calculate their public relations value

> Communications Office: Help update and expand our media and countywide contact lists

> Christmas Concerts: Put up posters, help put up signs, take tickets, be an usher, help on the clean-up crew

> Communications Office: Write items for this Website, for Facebook, Twitter, and for other social media

> Special Events: Help plan and help run our Special Events -- Dinners, luncheons, fundraisers, meetings, outings

> Feed The Kids: Help Make sandwiches and pack sack lunches to serve hungry kids in the park and on field trips

> Food Pantry: Help with intake and sorting of donations during food drives

> Office: Help sort and research historic files and photos
