I. Do Your Part and Join In -- Ring a Red Kettle Bell This Season!

    => Nearly sixty Red Kettle locations across Waukesha County.

    => Nearly 8,000 shifts in Waukesha County alone through Christmas Eve day.

               

    => We ring in 2-3 hour shifts from 8am or 10am until 6pm, Monday - Saturday.

    => We do not ring on Sunday or holidays.

II. Have Fun Ringing as a Group!

    => Choose a day. Be responsible for the shifts at a particular Red Kettle. Groups Have Even More Fun! 

    => For a full calendar week, have your group be responsible for a particular Red Kettle location.

    => Adopt-a-Kettle for the entire seven week season and sign-up your members to all the shifts.

               

    => Challenge other groups to beat you!

    => Church groups, civic clubs, service organizations, school staffs, business deparrtments, government offices.

III. Attend one of our Brass Quintet Christmas Benefit Concerts! (Tickets on sale soon!)

    => Four interesting locations and four wonderful concerts in three days: Thurs, Dec 13th - Sat, Dec 15th, 2018

    => These are fundraising concerts .. ticket prices are low, with an opportunity to make your charitable gift in a private envelope.

    => Performers this year:

                *  The North Coast Brass Quintet 

                         

                         > members have performed with such national acts as The Tempations, The Four Tops, Aretha Franklin, Frankie Valli;

                         > also with local bands such as Platinum, The All-Star Super Band, and The Milwaukee Jazz Orchestra!

 

                *  The Drum and Bagpipes of St. John's Military Academy                         

                         > a special and memorable treat this year to enjoy Christmas music by skilled bagpipers in full dress!

                         > enjoy the evocative and emotional sound of bagpipes arousing the senses!

IV. Christmas Toy Shop for Those In Need

    => To register, bring your own photo ID, proof of address, and ID for each member of the family

    => Registration is through Thanksgiving Eve day ONLY, during Food Pantry Hours, T and W, 1-4pm and F, 9am-Noon

    => You will be a assigned specific appointment (day and time) to come to the Toy Shop, pick out your gifts and wrap them

    => Again this year, the actual Toy Shop is at the former Northview School, at Waukesha's Grandview Blvd and Northview Rd

V. Donating to the Christmas Toy Shop

    => Our focus this year is toys and gifts for older children, age 10 - 18, a more challenging group to buy for . . .

    => And new or VERY, very gently used, cleaned warm winter clothing including boots, hats, mittens and coats

VI. Christmas Benefit Open House -- Waukesha's Blair Mansion

    => Saturday, December 8th from 1-5pm

    => Corner of Madison and Randall Streets

    => Your hosts, owners/restorers Lisa and Bob Salb . . . will reopen as the Spring City Bed & Breakfast (target 2020)

               

    => The home will be decorated for Christmas, there will be music and we'll be serving hot spiced apple cider!

    => $5 donation at the door with proceeds to The Salvation Army of Waukesha County

    => Experience the beauty of this historic home and tour the ongoing renovations/restoration!

 

VII.  Christmas Angel Tree at JC Penney-Brookfield Square

    => Pluck a card from the tree and be an angel to someone in need

               

    => Purchase the gift, returning the card and the unwrapped gift to a container near the tree

    => We make sure the gift gets to the proper person. You can be anonymous or you can sign your name and offer a greeting.

VIII. Christmas Parades -- Watch for our entry and make some noise as we go by! 

    =>  We need volunteers in each community to walk down the street on each side, to hand out concert flyers and our main brochure

    =>  It would be GREAT to have two people on each side . . . each with one thing to hand out.

IX. Christmas Tree Lighting

     => Friday, November 16, 2018 at 6pm . . . (try to park and arrive by 5:50pm)

     => Outside THE FORUM in downtown Waukesha

     => Gaspar Street near Avalon Manor

     => Brass Band, Hot Chocolate, Red Kettle, Santa Claus, Remarks and Fun!

               

                   => =>  => An event of the Downtown Waukesha Chamber of Commerce!

 

X.  Holiday Community Meals

       => A holiday feast with all the trimmings!

       => These are popular volunteer events .. sign-up early!

       => Thanksgiving:  Thursday, November 22nd, 2018 at 1pm

       =>  Christmas:       Tuesday, Decemer 25th, 2018 at 1pm (replaces the normal Tuesday evening meal)

 

XI.  Christmas Season Worship

    => Every Sunday at 11:00am

    => Bible Study, starting at 9:30am . . . child care available . . . (call ahead during the week)
